Brandywine Conservancy’s Environmental Management
Our guest John P. Goodall brings us news and information out of his commitment and experiences in land stewardship, municipal assistance, and conservation design. The Brandywine Conservancy’s Environmental Management Center has been successful in getting many acres of farmland placed under agricultural easement in southern Chester County. The farmland conservation program now includes farmland in Lancaster County, also. Mr. Goodall will discuss the Brandywine Conservancy’s various environmental conservation activities. The Brandywine River Museum, notable for its large collection of works by three generations of the Wyeth family, is perhaps the best known element of the Conservancy’s cultural, educational and environmental activities. There is a compatibility between the work of the Conservancy and Friends’ fifth and tenth Queries on Education and Stewardship of the Environment.
